Christmas Wedding Priory Barn Herts

Christmas Wedding Priory Barn

A beautiful Christmas Wedding Priory Barn Little Wymondley on Saturday. Nicola & Justin and little George had a wonderful day. This wedding at the Priory Barn had everything, a stunning bride, handsome groom and extremely cute pageboys and flower girls. I started the day alongside videographer Martin of Special Occasion Video Productions at Nicola’s parents house where the family and Maid of Honour Louise were getting prepared for the day ahead. I caught up with the guys at the Plume of Feathers before arriving at the Priory Barn where a the choir were in full song for their practice session.

The Priory Barn is a great setting for a wedding at this time of year and still maintains the original character of a sixteenth century barn in rural Hertfordshire. It was built from local Oak by James Needham who was the King’s carpenter. The huge trusses which support the weight of the enormous roof are of the Queen Post type with curved braces and jowelled posts to support them. After the ceremony we had a quick trip out in the wedding car and Nicola & Justin braved the weather for a couple of photographs outside. We did a fun shot of the guys leaping of the stage which turned out a little scary and worked our way through the group photographs before everyone settled in for the wedding breakfast. I Have worked at the barn before and know the catering here is excellent and Saturday’s fare was no exception to that.

After the first dance Nicola had a dance with her father Steve who was certainly no slouch on the dancefloor – a great mover and a very impessive dance! The evening entertainment consisted of a surprise Casino arranged by Nicola for Justin, magician Andy Larmouth, BluMark disco and a Blues brothers tribute act. A great finale to a Christmas Wedding Priory Barn
