London Wedding Photography ….
Our capital city is full of so many magnificent buildings. Amongst them are some fascinating churches and wonderful hotels and clubs. They can host beautiful weddings of every size and description. London Wedding Photography offers so much in terms of historic and modern settings. I have photographed some memorable weddings in London. Claridges Hotel must be the most famous Hotel in London.
A lot of famous people stay at the Hotel and on the day of this wedding Whoopi Goldberg was there and also Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones when I worked there. Unfortunately I didn’t actually meet him but the bride did get a selfie with Ronnie during the evening.
The Berkeley Hotel is another beautiful hotel and I have photographed there on several occasions .
My latest visit was for the wedding of Theresa and Chris. The day started at the hotel where both the bride and groom were preparing for the day ahead. The hotel has recently been refurbished and it was great to experience the new decor. Once dressed the boys headed off to the nearest pub – The Wilton Arms. Taxis were on hand to ferry everyone to the Faithful Virgin, Streatham Common. There was a bit of a delay during the signing of the registers. A leaking pen was causing problems but I was on hand with an alternative pen to save the day. Then after a few family photos we all piled onto two routemaster London buses for the journey back to The Berkeley Hotel. We managed to find time for some lovely husband and wife portraits in and around the hotel. Then on to the evening and the speeches, cake cutting and dancing. Lots more images to edit and share with Theresa and Chris. Thanks for a great day with you both – will be in touch soon with links to many more photos!
Belonging to the same hotel group as Claridges and The Berkeley is The Connaught. I worked there with an American colleague David Beckstead who had flown over from the states to photograph a wedding there. Another great venue for London Wedding Photography are The Landsdowne Club where I photographed this Jewish wedding day.
The Rosewood Hotel ( formerly Chancery Court ) is yet another beautiful Hotel. I shot a wonderful Jewish wedding there complete with a parade by the Coldstream Guards! Everyone was ushered out into the courtyard and suddenly the band arrived and marched around whilst playing some stirring arrangements. I narrowly avoided getting crushed as I darted around determined to capture the scene.
For this wedding I also created a a short Photofilm of the day which started at the Berkeley and finished on The Westminster Boating Base right on the River Thames. As well as London Wedding Photography our capital is also a wonderful location for a pre-wedding shoot. You will see some examples in the posts which are linked below. Here is one that I particularly enjoyed shooting in Victoria Park.
